Carbon Steel Pipe ERW Professional Manufacturer, Strict Standards to Create Corrosion-resistant and High-strength Products

ERW (Electric Resistance Welded) welded pipe is a carbon steel pipe formed by melting the edge of the steel strip by high-frequency current heating and welding under pressure. Compared with seamless pipes and other welding processes (such as submerged arc welding), ERW welded pipes have the advantages of high production efficiency, low cost, and high dimensional accuracy. They are widely used in low-pressure fluid transportation, structural support and other fields.

process of carbon steel ERW welded pipe

First, the cold-rolled or hot-rolled steel strip is unrolled and leveled, and then gradually rolled into a tube through multiple sets of forming rollers; then high-frequency induction welding technology (HFI) is used to instantly heat the edge of the steel strip to a molten state using a high-frequency current of 100-400kHz, and at the same time, metallurgical bonding of the metal is achieved under the action of the extrusion roller; after welding, the internal and external burrs are immediately removed, and the size of the pipe is accurately controlled by the sizing roller; normalizing heat treatment is performed according to demand to improve the performance of the weld; finally, after quality inspections such as eddy current or ultrasonic non-destructive testing and water pressure testing, it is cut into specified lengths and treated with rust prevention.
