一:define

Large straight seam welded pipe refers to a straight seam welded steel pipe with a diameter of 325 millimeters or more and a large wall thickness. It is manufactured using double-sided submerged arc welding technology, and the pipe body is welded through two processes: front welding and back welding. The pipe end can be processed according to engineering requirements by choosing a flat or threaded interface form. The threading treatment is carried out by cutting standard threads on the pipe end with a special lathe

 Mainly used in fields such as steel structures and oil and gas transportation.

 Its materials are mainly low-carbon steel and low-alloy steel, covering various models such as 20 #, Q345, ST37, A106, etc


二: technical parameters

The main technical parameters of LSAW (straight seam submerged arc welded pipe) are as follows:

Wall thickness: up to 6.4-23.8mm (0.252-0.94in) at X80 steel grade;

 At X70 steel grade, it can reach 6.4-26.4mm (0.252-1.04in).

 When the material decreases, the wall thickness can increase to varying degrees.

Product standards: ISO3183-3, API Spec 5L, GB9711, etc

The diameter of the straight seam submerged arc welded steel pipe can reach up to Φ 406.4- Φ 1422.4mm

The maximum length of the steel pipe can reach 12.2m, and the wall thickness is 6.4-26.4mm when using the X 70 steel grade

 

三:Main features of LSAW steel pipe:

(1) The steel pipe has a longitudinal weld seam, and both the inner and outer welds are welded using a single submerged arc welding.

(2) After the overall mechanical expansion treatment, the internal stress of the steel pipe is small and evenly distributed, which can effectively prevent stress corrosion cracking, with high dimensional accuracy and easy on-site welding construction.

(3) Adopting the process of pre welding and precision welding, the welding process is stable and the weld quality is high.

(4) The weld seam is easy to achieve non-destructive testing during the production process and non-destructive testing re inspection in the field during use.

(5) The product specification range is large, and it can produce steel pipes with small diameters and large wall thicknesses as well as large diameters and large wall thicknesses.
